Protection from a storm

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    While cruising north in the Atlantic Ocean with my husband and another couple we began to hear storm warnings on the marine radio and see black clouds coming toward us from the West. We were totally alone with no other boat or land in site, but I knew that God is always with us. Mrs. Eddy has stated and we have studied at our Plainfield church that the weather is under Divine control and we have nothing to fear. I said a short prayers of knowing that God was in charge and nothing else! We gathered in the pilot house and watched and listened to the storm pass overhead with no damage done and it passed so quickly too. I am forever grateful for the dominion over weather that we have been taught.
