Purity— Be Little Children

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

We’re all the children of God. He has never stopped loving us. I’m grateful practitioner brought my attention to this week’s lesson emphasizing how much He loves little children. They are so pure; their thoughts are uncluttered. “Jesus loved little children because of their freedom from wrong and their receptiveness of right. While age is halting between two opinions or battling with false beliefs, youth makes easy and rapid strides towards Truth.” S&H p. 236:28-32 No matter who you are, right now this is possible for you, for me, as “Willingness to become as a little child and leave the old for the new, renders thought receptive of the advanced idea. Gladness to leave the false landmarks and joy to see them disappear.” S&H p. 323:32-3 With God all things are possible! We, I, just need to DO IT! How wonderful! Thank God!

I have thought a lot about this post…..being like a little child and leaving the old for the new.

Children are free to do new things . They don’t have any pre-conceived ideas. They don’t get in a rut. They leave the old for the new. What an example!
