Return And Live

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    “Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?” {emphasis added}

    We have an everlastingly LOVING Parent, forever waiting for us to return from our ways in order to have all the good that awaits us. We leave something so precious behind when we waste time fearfully indulging the lies, feeling we know what to do and will find our way; when there is only ONE WAY, which is for us to give up “our way,” come back to find God and humbly follow His directions.

    If anything appears to be hindering our journey back, we can know it is a temporary mortal mind claim…. it may present as pride, some lie that you are unworthy, it does accuse that you did some unforgivable thing, it can aggressively argue that you cannot give up a habit, a false attraction, a false pleasure, it can insist on a physical claim as having a real origin, and rehearse the time, how and when etc…

    If God is LOVE alone and He is TRUTH then anything unlovable cannot be true; thus it is unreal and certainly something we can and must reject and return to what is real. There is no condemnation and no everlasting punishment. Let us return then to Love and live, since Love alone is Life!
