Roundtable detail clarification

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    A source for clarification of something mentioned during the May 24, 2020 Roundtable was found in “NOTICE By MARY BAKER EDDY” in the March 1897 issue of The Christian Science Journal and is shown below.

    “The Christian Scientists in the United States and Canada are hereby enjoined not to teach a student Christian Science for one year, commencing on March 14th, 1897.

    “’Miscellaneous Writings’ is calculated to prepare the minds of all true thinkers to understand the Christian Science Text-book more correctly than a student can.”

    (A related fact which I see in our copy of Prose Works is that it was not first copyright until 1925.)

    Perhaps this wasn’t a good time for the above post. Sunday’s Roundtable was outstanding. Church members and teachers are clearly rising to the occasion of the present world challenges.

    Good morning.
    Today the Roundtable was nourishment
    To keep me right
    So easily distracted by the world but mostly my own opinions and attitudes

    Lately if I feel fear I think
    The only law is Harmony
    The only Time is Now
