Rwanda Testimony

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

I am very grateful for Mrs. Singleterry’s reading of the testimony of a Christian Scientist in Rwanda during their civil war in the 1990’s sent in from Colorado. How this man prayed for his family and for the men who invaded his home bent on doing evil, illustrated the power of God’s love to heal and save in every situation. I was in tears by the end of the reading. Not only was this man and his family saved from harm but the men who meant to do them harm, were stopped and stayed to talk about what they had been doing. It was so good to hear this beautiful story of how Christian Science can be demonstrated in the most distressing of times. This testimony is so timely what with the situations going on in the world. It showed me how I can work for these world situations and send God’s love out to the world. I am very grateful for Christian Science and for the Plainfield Christian Science Church, Independent.
