Stand still

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    6. Exodus 14
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord,
14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

As I learn more of what Plainfield teaches, it becomes clearer that the true battles (and victories!) are in consciousness. Since that is the case, what would I gain by running? Wherever I go, my consciousness is there. So, of course I need to stand still and face the lies with Truth. When I consider it that way, why would I be afraid? Has a lie ever overcome Truth? Can the unreal best reality?

I am so grateful for Christian Science, which is putting all those foolish fears in their place, and showing me how to live for God and mankind. Thank you!

This statement has helped me many times. I say to myself, “Fear not and peace, be still.” I need to stand still and quiet my thought. I can’t try to outline or figure out how something should be accomplished. It is putting my total trust in God.

Thank God and Mary Baker Eddy for this Science.
