Take One Citation and Use It Daily

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“Creator. … God, who made all that was made and could not create an atom or an element the opposite of Himself.” by Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health page 583

I have been given by my practitioner an excerpt by Martha Wilcox that reads, “Do not fear anything that your present body seems to be doing. Every cell, fiber, tissue, gland, organ, or muscle of the human body exists right now in the one Mind as Idea, and each idea is proclaiming, ‘I am reflecting God, I am expressing God.’ Every cell and fiber of my being is expressing the sovereignty of God, or proclaiming, ‘I AM.'”(To read and listen to the whole chapter click on this link.)
Body – First Article From Addresses by Martha Wilcox

The instruction from our Roundtable two weeks ago to take one citation from Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy and to use it during the day has reminded me that I need to make sure that I am assimilating what I am reading. Coming to Plainfield is breaking a habit I had of breezing through Mrs. Eddy’s writings or trying to cram words like preparing for an exam. It made me falsely think I was living Christian Science when I was far from it. I am grateful to be here learning how to correctly make this Science practical. When I first called my practitioner here I was told to write a citation from the Weekly Lesson on a card and keep it with me all day. I am grateful for the many times it has helped me meet a particular challenge or center my thinking back on God.
