The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

    I’m grateful for this Lesson Sermon with the Bible citations from Acts 4 & 5. With the recent frequency of citations from Acts it is dawning on me how often the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit appears and is mentioned in this book of the Bible. The Bible Studies and Roundtables are helping me to understand this subject better. I am excited to continue to learn even more here at Plainfield how the Holy Ghost blessed the early Christians during their difficult times.

    Thanks for this post. I once heard the question asked if Christian Scientists believed in the Holy Ghost. Mrs. Eddy’s definition of the Holy Ghost from the Glossary chapter in Science and Health answers that question.

    Holy Ghost: Divine Science, the development of eternal Life, Truth and Love. This shows that Divine Science has always blessed and continues to do so now. It must be the awareness, acceptance or acknowledgement of this Holy power and presence that makes it seem more prevalent in Acts? We must also be aware and acknowledge this power and presence in order to feel it more.
