…the leaves of the tree

    “…the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” Revelation 22: 2

    I have often wondered what that really meant, just as someone else said during Saturday’s discussion, but now:

    I think you all (active members of Plainfield Christian Science Church, Independent) are the leaves of the tree. It came to me while listening to Amanda reading that line during church today, that it makes sense, since the tree is typical of man’s divine Principle, why shouldn’t it’s leaves be the followers of that Principle.

    I know that some Christians who follow the health-food path believe that the “leaves” indicate herbs and healing plant-foods. The Seventh Day Adventists, vegetarians, vegans, and others often quote that line about the leaves, but since I’ve had my eyes opened somewhat, I believe it could mean that those who follow the Principle which Mrs. Eddy taught, could be the beautiful leaves of that tree.
