The Plainfield Independent April 2018

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    Thank you for your inspirational newsletter that just arrived in the mailbox! What joy to read the passages honoring the trees. I want to share a statement Mrs. Eddy said about trees:

    “Every leaf of every tree declares perpetually that God is Love.” (Collectanea, p. 73)

    What beautiful testimony that will forever change my view of trees.

    Thank you for publishing Collectanea (Of Items By and About Mary Baker Eddy). Recently, a wonderful practitioner recommended it to me. Although I had ordered the soft copy, in midstream I regretted not buying the beautiful leather bound version. The book arrived yesterday from your efficient book store. To my surprise it was the hardback! In that moment, I was so grateful that Divine Mind knew what I needed before I even asked! I haven’t been able to put the book down, so full of insights about Mrs. Eddy that bring more light to the healing practice of Christian Science.

    Thank you for all the resources you make available on your wonderful website! And to Jeremy for all his hard work, too.
