The Power of The Truth

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    I was helping a friend by placing an online grocery order to be delivered to her. The day before, I had checked out the website to make sure delivery was available and the charges. We were on the phone for 45 minutes selecting the items. When I went to schedule delivery, I received the message that delivery is unavailable and the closest store to pick up the groceries was 20 minutes away. I hung up with my friend and placed a call to the customer service number for the store. 30 minutes on hold. I got up from my computer and walked into my kitchen. I stopped and said, “This is God directed and therefore can not be stopped!”. I did a few other tasks while still on hold. Suddenly, I hear God’s voice say the name of another company that delivers groceries. I went back to my computer, signed on, selected the items and was able to have delivery scheduled within 5 hours. What joy and absolute proof that God does met our every need when we turn to him, know the Truth and listen for his voice.
