The Ten Commandments

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

As I continue to strive for constant obedience, I was led back to the Ten Commandments. It is wonderful to work with them each day, as they are God’s law to which total obedience is required. Today’s Bible Study continued on the subject of law and obedience. Again, God’s law and our obedience to it, is our requirement.

Yesterday, I had an experience which proved once again that God has a plan and His plan is 100% perfect, as long as we listen, obey and allow it to govern our lives. I was ready 1 hour before work and heard the still small voice say that I was to run an errand before I went to work. It was not what I thought would have been the correct thing to do but I said OK and started on my way. About 5 minutes into my journey, I realized that I had not brought an item that I needed for work. I said, Oh crap and felt an uneasiness in my stomach. I almost turned my car around to retrieve the item. But I DIDN’T!! Instead I knew that I the calm, still small voice had told me to go on this errand. I continued to drive, knowing that this was God’s plan. I arrived at the location, did what I needed to do and drove home with plenty of time to retrieve the item and be at work on time. SO GRATEFUL that I did not allow mortal mind to take hold of me and stop God’s plan. I am also grateful to realize the effect of mortal mind on me. When I feel uneasy or upset I must realize this as mortal mind and turn to God to regain God’s peace and grace. Reliance on God, even when all of His plan is not clear, is vital and something that I must strive to do better. To know that God’s plan is always working is very comforting and powerful!!!!

    With love and continuing gratitude!!
