We must form perfect models in thought…

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

We must form perfect models in thought and look at them continually, or we shall never carve them out in grand and noble lives. Let unselfishness, goodness, mercy, justice, health, holiness, love — the kingdom of heaven — reign within us, and sin, disease, and death will diminish until they finally disappear.

I am so grateful for Christian Science for letting me know there is such a thing as perfect models to strive for, and for practitioner support for being there along the way, helping me to understand more each day, and giving what I need to keep moving onward and upward.

Thinking back to the imperfect models I held in thought before, I had let selfishness, cruelty, grudge-holding, enabling, unhealthy, unholy, hateful things — a very real hell on Earth — holding sway over me, and as a result sin, disease, and death seemed more real and more looming all the time. I am grateful for all that now, as I have a strong warning if anything ever starts to point me toward how it used to be, before Plainfield.

I am very grateful to this church, and for all that is provided here! Thank you!

I was given this citation first as a prayer for all children from my practitioner and use it constantly….often in Watches. This is a wonderful and powerful prayer for all of us.
( I have looked up all the words and think about what they mean. )
I am so grateful for the words Mrs. Eddy chose for us to use as models to reign or rule within us.
