What is required?

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” (Micah) Whenever things seem to be overwhelming it is helpful to go back to basics. Why push so hard? What really is required? – And here Micah gives a simple and doable list! If we take one step at a time, walking humbly with our Father, trusting Him with our cares, He will surely help us along the way. The Moffatt translation reads, “What does the Eternal ask from you but to be just and kind and live in quiet fellowship with your God?”

I think thats beautiful´, its so easy to get lost in material things. With this simple statement we return to that childlike innocence of trust which is required of us.
