Without Wrath and Doubting….

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

I have been contemplating how often I used to declare the Truth with doubt and impatience! I cannot focus on the material testimony and think I can trust God’s power and presence at the same time. This citation stood out this morning to me in relation to how much I am learning to trust the Truths I have learned and to have faith in them as Truth in action. The world “appears sick” with greed, hatred, selfishness, sensuality, sickness, poverty etc. and I have to make sure my love for Truth stays active to continually see the unreality of what appears to hide the supreme rule of the only cause and creator.
