The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Reading Pilar’s post, the word ‘obsolete’ came to mind. I searched for it in Miscellaneous Writings and found this:
“If God is Mind and fills all space, is everywhere, matter [20] is nowhere and sin is obsolete. If Mind, God, is all-power and all-presence, man is not met by another power and presence, that—obstructing his intelligence— pains, fetters, and befools him.”
(Eddy, Mary Baker. Miscellaneous Writings, 1883-1896 (p. 173) . Kindle Edition.)

And from Science and Health: “[Evil obsolete] The notion that both evil and good are real is a
delusion of material sense, which Science annihilates.”
(Eddy, Mary Baker. Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures (p. 181). Kindle Edition.)

Doesn’t this tell us that the monstrous nightmare of evil (the Dragon) has never been real, is not real now and that everyone in the case, seen and unseen, exists only as a “gentle beam of living light”? That is how I am praying about Texas today.I think of “spiritual wickedness in high places as “the Dragon”. But wickedness has no power to kill or to cure..in high places or low ones.
