The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

I can see that both the mother of the child and Elisha shut the door (of the senses) immediatly, not accepting at all the false evidence of death in the child. That was very helpful in making this amazing demonstration of Life as substance.

Thank you Spencel for remind us watching point 328.

Thank you, Psalaby, for mentioning this. I was interpreting this message that way too. Before, when I read this Bible passage or used it in my prayers, I always thought of the hidden evil that must be exposed (and it must be), but now thanks to this lesson I have been able to broaden my thinking and relate that the hidden is the good that must inevitably come to light. This teaches me the importance of thinking more in positive terms than negative. Thanks to the lesson writers!

I am glad and grateful because God is our preserver: He preserves our life, our health, our joy, our body, our supply, our individuality, our love, our intelligence, our demonstrations, our progress, our knowledge of Him, EVERYTHING, and that is the Truth for all mankind. He also preserves the nature, the weather and the whole creation because everything is His and SPIRITUAL. Thanks God and the Christ for this lesson and this forum that makes me think on these matters. Thank you, Plainfield!

I was also wondering why Jesus asked the woman to call her husband. Thank you, AMB, for this interesting explanation.

And thanks the lesson writer for this beautiful and inspired lesson.

Thank you, Spencel, for your comments. The Jezebel spirit infiltrating churches can be very corrosive if not detected and confronted. Or if it is justified. I attended two Christian Science churches where I could perceive this, and where one of them finally collapsed as a result of the infiltration of animal magnetism in its members, it affected the organization so much that it had to dissolve. Sins of pride, a very lax sexual morality, mixing the use of material medicine with prayer under the excuse of the need to make concessions to matter (there is a reason why Mrs. Eddy says there is no excuse for error), confusing substance with money and using Christian Science for the pursuit of material welfare as an end in itself, were some of the errors manifested. There is a divine reason why we have the book of Revelation in the Bible and its description of what can happen in the churches in all times. How good that it is being analyzed in the Bible Study and I find it very important that Plainfield is doing it. We must get the devils out of the queue and expose their procedures before we can say that evil is nothing. I thank God for the dedicated and brave work of Plainfield members.
