The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Thanks for all the great posts! Today while handling an issue, I opened Misc. Writings to the Bible Lessons, p. 200. The words that jumped out from the page made me laugh. “Christians to-day should be able to say, with the sweet sincerity of the apostle [Paul], “I take pleasure in infirmities,”–I enjoy the touch of weakness, pain, and all suffering of the flesh, because it compels me to seek the remedy for it, and to find happiness, apart from the personal senses.”

I closed the book, laughter bubbling up, and began to give thanks for my so-called infirmity! It was trying to hold me back from having holiday lunch with my husband and our friend. I was able to keep giving thanks silently and ended up having an enjoyable afternoon out. So grateful for the truth! Otherwise, a wonderful time would have been missed by letting a lie rule the day.

Joyful blessings,

Rae
