Reply To: the reward of the inheritance

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Thank you Jeremy for showing the stark contrast of a life with and without the Christ–isn’t it true that once we leave that “before” template–we cannot ever forget the difference in how far we’ve come?! “There’s no going back”…and gratitude for how far we’ve come truly does keep us safe! I think I always read Colossians as a set of really nice words and ideas…more like nice theories for other people, because me… I was busy… and ‘maybe one day’ things would come together. Fortunately all roads led to Plainfield. Being here taught me how to make it come to life, how to get a backbone, and how to begin to “walk the walk”. Only here have I begun to understand “the reward of the inheritance.” As the “elect of God”, our work is cut out for us. But this work is truly rewarding and provides full employment and ultimate job satisfaction!

Love is the liberator.
