a right estimate of what is real

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Science and Health states “…nothing is lost, and all is won, by a right estimate of what is real.” There is so much good common sense in application of this truth. We often hear of the phrases “get real” or “reality check”. These are healthy because they serve to redirect the efforts in the right direction, to reconsider where the right direction is. Many complain that they are disappointed with the efforts to follow their dreams or passions. We get real by dropping the dreams or selfish pursuits, and make the honest effort to follow the divine impulse, which will never disappoint; make that our passion. God is good and is always with us, and on this basis nothing can be lost. This is cause for rejoicing.
