Ascribe to Him

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Christian Science takes naught from the perfection of God, but it ascribes to Him the entire glory. By putting “off the old man with his deeds,” mortals “put on immortality.” From Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy p.262

Ascribe to Him the entire Glory! Then and only then are we able to put off the “old man and his deeds” and begin to find immortality (and peace). I believe Job was mentioned this past weekend during the Roundtable, and that is what he finally accomplished in his thought which aligned him with God, who restored everything to him… and more. I thank the Lesson writer for this wonderful Lesson. I have been thinking and praying about this quality of thought since coming to Plainfield Christian Science Church. All things in God and God in all things. Step by step I am learning.Thank You.

Step by step we are all still learning.. Patiently and in humble obedience to Truth!
