Bless the Lord, O my soul

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

During the service this morning, “Bless the Lord, O my soul” hit me: I realized that I am to bless the Lord with obedience and gratitude, that I’m not to just receive blessings, but reflect Him and bless God as He blesses me! I am to “bless his holy name”.

If I am to bless God, that means to give God credit for all the good in my life and for all the good that is around us always. And if I don’t see good, I am to turn the picture around and proclaim the good that is actually there because there can only be good because God is all.

I am to “bless the Lord, O my soul.” What a wonderful realization during Church today!
