Communion with God

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    S H. 29 : 30-4
“Man as the offspring of God, as the idea of Spirit, is the immortal evidence that Spirit is harmonious and man eternal. Jesus was the offspring of Mary’s self-conscious communion with God. Hence he could give a more spiritual idea of life than other men, and could demonstrate the Science of Love — his Father or divine Principle.”

I think this is beautiful and gives hope that we too can indeed have constant self-conscious communion with God. This takes effort and dedication. The seeking and knocking. I know that I drift too much and pray to follow more nearly and listen more clearly. This has become part of my covenant. Being a member of Plainfield helps because although I am taking baby steps there is no other way to live.
