Conversation

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Being a somewhat talkative person this word caught my attention in the lesson this week. One of the things that I am learning at Plainfield is to keep my conversation in heaven.

Paul writes, “…put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt…And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;”.

This meant to me today that I must stop the negative thoughts or day dreaming and let in the messages of Truth that speak of God, good and man made in His likeness. There are plenty of lines to use found in Mary Baker Eddy’s writings. I like to put a line on a paper in my pocket to turn to during the day as a reminder.

I am grateful for all the teaching here that helps us “renew the spirit of your mind” so we can “put off the old mam.”
