Devastating heat
Lack of water
Loss of life
Loss of home, place, shelter
Polluted atmosphere
Massive uncontrollable power
Matter demanding attention and awe
Fear inflaming terror
Displacement
Trama
Fire season
Overwhelming magnitude
Inadequate number fire fighters
Unstoppable devastation
Constant reporting and visual proof
Hell on earth
Imminent danger

“As in heaven, so on earth God (good) is omnipotent, supreme.”

“In atmosphere of Love Divine we live and move (breath) and have our being.”

Moses turned to look and see why the apparently burning bush was not consumed.

Mrs. Eddy dispersed a storm.

Jesus stilled a storm.

“God is not self destructive.”
Neither is man.

THE LORDS PRAYER

“Be still and know that I am God.”

” Fear not for I am with thee.”

Dampen our ferocious imaginings with thy cooling, refreshing mist, the balm of your infinite Love oh Lord.

Right where the out-of-control fire seems to be, God’s law was already there,
governing everything in perfect harmony. Despite what the physical senses were reporting, know that God is at that very moment tenderly embracing and caring for His creation.

S&H 493:21-32
There is no vapid fury of mortal mind — expressed in earthquake, wind, wave, lightning, fire, bestial ferocity
— and this so-called mind is self-destroyed. The manifestations of evil, which counterfeit
divine justice, are called in the Scriptures, “The anger of the Lord.” In reality, they show the self-destruction
of error or matter and point to matter’s opposite, the strength and permanency of Spirit. Christian Science brings to light Truth and its supremacy, universal harmony, the entireness of God, good, and the nothingness of evil.

“Let us never forget that it was right there, in the midst of the fire, that the Hebrew captives saw the vision of the Christ. Their human extremity was so great that they rose to a spiritual height, and beheld man as he really is, spiritual and not material. Even King Nebuchadnezzar saw the vision. “Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?” he cried in amazement; “Lo, I see four men loose, walking, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
