God is not slack in His promise

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

II Peter 3 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

When looking up the meaning of slack it said that in today’s world that you really can’t depend on a promise from man, but that is not true about God! He is quick, careful, active and firm and never lets up on our behalf. And Jesus said, come all that are heavy laden and I will refresh you, would you be made whole, he who drinks the water I give him will never thirst again. All promises that have been fulfilled. so we can repent, change our minds and be made whole!

Yes, we can change our false senses as we go though our trials, our “so -called ” delayed healings and find ourselves whole! All errors are from the distorted views of human mind. All good is here now for us all. Great lesson affirming the authority of ” And God saw everything that He had made, and it was very good!” Genesis
