God's Delivery from the Fiery Funance

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

I have been led by God’s still small voice to study the book of Daniel in the Bible. Chapter 3 versus 14 – 18 are the conversation between King Nebuchadnezzar and Shadrach, Meshach and Abendego and are as follow:

14 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

15 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

I now realize that whatever my trial is, my burning fiery furnace, God will delivery me from it just as He delivered Sahrach, Meshach and Abednego. This is a wonderful awakening and provides a new strength to look mortal mind in the face and say thus far and no farther. You have no power and you will be annihilated and the perfection of God and His reflection, man, me, will be seen by all!!!

    Always grateful and with love,
