Gratitude

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Recently while washing a thick mattress pad the edge of the very thin side part got caught on the dryer door latch hook . We did not notice this until part way through the cycle. When we opened the door to rearrange the pad we found this thin part tightly twisted and in no way could we slip it off the hook. My husband leaned over the dryer door and turned the pad over and over and over until he was uncomfortable and discouraged, and I thought we would have to cut it off. Then I spontaneously said, thank you God! The pad just popped off. Thank you Plainfield for making gratitude more natural to me.

Thank you for sharing this experience. I am finding, when something is difficult to do and I stop, realizing that this is not from God, still myself and know there is only one Mind, the task is always completed easily and quickly. What a lesson to learn and use every moment of the day!!
    Thank you God!!
