Ho,….come Ye To the Waters

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    Science and Health – 3. 12 : 27-29, 31-4
Does Deity interpose in behalf of one worshipper, and not help another who offers the same measure of prayer? … In divine Science, where prayers are mental, all may avail themselves of God as “a very present help in trouble.” Love is impartial and universal in its adaptation and bestowals. It is the open fount which cries, “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters.”
When I read this it made me think of the sheep. A good shepherd loves all his sheep…. and our Good Shepherd hears all righteous prayers. This is very comforting to know that as we pray even a simple prayer it goes to our Father-Mother. Then it is our job to wait patiently ..”stand in His presence, unafraid.” ( hymn 342 )
