"Impossible to lose aught that is real"

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“It is impossible that man should lose aught that is real, when God is all and eternally his.” (Science and Health 302:8-9)

The word “impossible” in this statement really hit me. Webster defines it as “that which cannot be, which is contrary to law,” — God’s law being the only law.
Then, our income can never be lost, for God gives us a continual allowance all the days of our life. Our companionship can never be lost, for thy Maker is thy husband, thy wife, thy brother, thy friend, thy neighbor. Our home can never be lost, for in thy Father’s house are many mansions, and He has prepared a place for us. Our good name can never be lost, for God has called thee by name, and thou art His. And so it goes, on and on. How comforting and wonderful to know this for all the good that God gives us!
