Lean on the sustaining infinite

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings.” (S&H) I love this statement – it is the very first line in our textbook and we also have it inscribed on the walls of our church. If you are ever feeling a little down, weak, discouraged, overwhelmed – think about “leaning on the sustaining (which means, according to Webster, – to uphold, to keep from falling, to keep alive, to keep from sinking into despondency) infinite.” These blessings are for today, right now! As a very dear lady once described it, “He (God) is my invincible friend and ever with me.”

Nothing comforts more and calms more than the constant awareness of GOD WITH ME and GOD LOVES ME (and all)!!
