Love lived

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Many thanks for all the instruction and individual contributions to the discussions in Saturday’s Bible Study and Sunday’s (4/29) Roundtable. I don’t know where else these helps and enlightened thoughts, which are freely given, could be found! Regarding the Lesson Sermon EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT, ten different topics were offered to be aware of, see them for what they are, and cast them out — no need to labor under punishments God never made! One that struck me was “resentment” — it was called “frozen hate” — wow! I never thought of it that way, but if you’re (I’m) resenting anything or anyone, then you (I’m) hating! and it only hurts yourself! The answer is always forgiveness and love, and to act on that love, to make it real in your life. This Lesson really brings that out; and to close the beautiful Sunday service, Faith sang “Alabaster Box” — so lovely, so sacred, so pure! Thank you so much!
