Man is always beyond and above the mortal illusion…

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

The quote in Science and Health this week “…let us remember that harmonious and immortal man has existed forever, and is always beyond and above the mortal illusion of any life, substance, and intelligence as existent in matter….” reminds me of a paragraph in Mrs. Eddy’s Address entitled Science And The Senses where I like to substitute myself where Mrs. Eddy uses Jesus.
Starting on page 103:30-104:8 in Mis. Writings, “(My) individuality is embraced in Mind, therefore is forever with the Father. Hence the Scripture, ‘I am a God at hand , saith the Lord.’ Even while (my) personality (is) on earth… (my) individual being, the Christ, (is) at rest in the eternal harmony. (My) unseen individuality, so superior to that which (is) seen, is not subject to the temptations of the flesh, to laws material, to death, or the grave. Formed and governed by God, (my) individuality (is ) safe in the substance of Soul, the substance of Spirit,- yea, the substance of God, the one inclusive good.”
