overcometh

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Rev. 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Science and Health: From him mortals may learn how to escape from evil….mortals need only turn from sin and lose sight of mortal sonship…
This awakening is the forever coming of Christ, the advanced appearing of Truth, which casts out error and heals the sick.

What could be better than to ponder these words from the Weekly Lesson for this Holy season.

OVERCOME: to prevail over, defeat, to get the better of in a struggle, to conquer opposition.

Rev. 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Every time I read that second part of that verse, a very deep loving feeling fills my heart; I am so grateful for the Bible’s inspired words that makes God so real and bring the loving sense of God so close.
