pass through material conditions

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“…nor does he [man] pass through material conditions prior to reaching intelligence.” (S&H)

Man, God’s idea, has unlimited intelligence, and does not have to go through any phases of so-called human development—no “terrible two’s,” no rebellious teen years, no learning disabilities, etc. Mary Baker Eddy writes, “Manhood is its eternal noon, undimmed by a declining sun”—or by a not fully risen sun! That thought was so helpful to me when raising my children.

Every man, woman, and child is right now a full and complete expression of divine intelligence, with the God-given ability to think, act, and make decisions intelligently, and nothing can tell them otherwise!

Beautifully stated and to hold to…thank you.
