Progress and experience

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

In Science and Health it states “Progress is born of experience. It is the ripening of mortal man, through which the mortal is dropped for the immortal.” Everyone one of us, if honest, can look back and say “I am not like that anymore.” Behind all of life’s experiences is a refining process. We all have different positions in our daily activities, but nobody is exempt from the refining process. With this in mind it is easier to have compassion for our fellow man and less contention. The great Architect, whose ways are perfect, is molding and fashioning us all after the perfect model, in the likeness of our Maker. The stubborn will that says “I will never change” must forever be wiped off the face of the earth.
