progress

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

To ascertain our progress, we must learn where our affections are placed and whom we acknowledge and obey as God. If divine Love is becoming nearer, dearer, and more real to us, matter is then is submitting to Spirit. The objects we pursue and the spirit we manifest reveal our standpoint, and show what we are winning.

Part of my covenant with God includes words that I heard in a song from Godspell… “follow God more nearly, love Thee more dearly and see Thee more clearly” I have read this in Science and Health before, Where it says, “If divine Love is becoming nearer, dearer, and more real to us, matter is then submitting to Spirit” I no longer remember which cam first in my thought, but this prayer of dedication means a great deal to me. My desire is to submit to Spirit.
