Remember ye not the former things…

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    1. Isaiah 43
1 …thus saith the LORD that created thee, … Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

What a mandate! Put it all behind, and move forward with God. This gives me even more insight into Jesus’ words “…whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.” (Luke 14: 33) Everything I’ve done wrong, every time I was thoughtless, each time I was less than the man God created me to be needs to be let go. I am not called to regret any of it, or feel endless guilt. Nor do I need to replay in my thought any of my missteps. All I need to do is move forward with God. What a literal Godsend that Christian Science provides the only true method to expunge the past, find our purpose, and understand our place in God’s creation. Thank you for this lesson!
