The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Several weeks ago we had a squirrel living mostly above our ceiling, but also getting into the cupboard above our stove, the cupboard below our kitchen sink and a large utility and water heater closet off of our living room. We were able to secure the cupboards and keep the closet door closed. It was nevertheless a concern that she would find another way into our apartment and be bouncing off the walls trying to get out. There is more to the story but the main thing is a Plainfield church member prayed with us. One of the main lessons to learn was the necessity to pray for the maintenance man, who initially thought the answer was to club the squirrel to death, and the inexperienced exterminator as well as the squirrel. Not much progress was made until this was done. On the eleventh day the maintenance man and exterminator worked together and got the trap properly set.The squirrel was then almost immediately trapped. The next day the squirrel was transported to a golf course 10 miles away.Thank you God for peace and wisdom and the fellow members support.
