The Temple

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

While getting ready for the Bible Study this week and listening to the participants it came to me that the “temple” which Jesus said he would raise in three days if destroyed, also has to do with the temple that was destroyed in 70AD. Now it is tine to abide in the Christ, who is spiritual and not a place or person, I think that it one reason that he said to Mary “touch me not”. Don’t cling to a person, but rather follow what he taught them and share it with others. Mary understood this and went to gather the other disciples. Mrs. Eddy also understood this and guarded her spiritual “home”. Mr. Carpenter explains this in SPIRITUAL FOOTSTEPS. The Bible Studies at Plainfield have opened up a whole new understanding of the Bible. Thank you.
