True beauty

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

If you go to any grocery store the magazine section is always full of articles all about losing weight and/or how to become more beautiful! In this week’s lesson Science and Health is full of God’s ways to achieve true beauty. I am sure this is the natural beauty Ruth expressed. It is the radiance of Soul and this beauty is available to everyone as the image and likeness of God. No one is left out for “He hath made every thing beautiful in His time.” (Eccl)
“In truth, we have no beauty of our own apart from God.” (Florence Gubbins)

Yesterday I read this from Dorus Henty, and it struck me. “Mind beholds and experiences with rapture the infinite range of its glory.” And: “The divine I, aware of its won perfection and glory, what joy I Am, what harmony I Am, what completeness, wholeness, beauty, perfection I Am. Waht satisfaction I feel.” Also she writes: “God´s understanding of Himself is man.”

“Since Mind is the only Mind, there is no human consciousness, there is no human mind at all. Mind tolerates no suggestion of a human mind.”
So, our sense of self, our human sense of reality, is nothingness, an illusion, a dream. Nowhere no time. God experiences Herself, Love´s Self-awareness. And it is gorgeous, wonderful, beyond discription. And YOU are it!
