True worship

We gladly welcome your comments on our Forum and Bulletin Board but we do maintain the right to edit and/or take down anything we feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible; make two short postings of the long posts or send the lengthy ones for publication in our Magazine or Newsletter. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Not materially but spiritually we know Him as divine Mind, as Life, Truth, and Love. We shall obey and adore in proportion as we apprehend the divine nature and love Him understandingly, warring no more over the corporeality, but rejoicing in the affluence of our God. Religion will then be of the heart and not of the head. Mankind will no longer be tyrannical and proscriptive from lack of love, — straining out gnats and swallowing camels.
Spiritual devoutness is the soul of Christianity. …”The true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth.”

This concept or idea of worshipping our Father in spirit and in truth has been in my prayers a lot . I ask my heavenly Father to show me how to do this and get my human mind out of the way. Someone at Plainfield talked about how spiritual sense involves: fruition, faith, hope, understanding, reality (divine Mind), and intuition. I think about these things often and love the idea of, ” warring no more over the corporeality”.

“Spiritual sense, contradicting the material senses, involves intuition, hope, faith, understanding, fruition, reality.” This is the correct quote from Science and Health page 298:13.
