Uncertain sense of right

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

“Saul of Taurus beheld the way – the Christ, or Truth – only when his uncertain sense of right yielded to a spiritual sense, which is always right.” (S&H) This statement meant a lot to me this morning because it reminded me of all the past times when I felt so uncertain, doubtful, not sure what step to take….”maybe, maybe not, whatever.” There really is no way to determine one’s direction humanly – only the Divine hand points out the sure path. Walking by faith not by sight is not always easy but it certainly brings great peace and the way becomes no longer uncertain but plainly clear as God illumines each step. “Shepherd show me how to go o’er the hillside steep, how to gather how to sow, how to feed thy sheep; I will listen for Thy voice, lest my footsteps stray; I will follow and rejoice all the rugged way.” (Hymn # 305)
