Who Should I Invite?

The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Through Christian Science I have learned the obedience of this in: Prov. 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

God knows who needs the gift of our bounty, who it will bless most and who will appreciate it best. Once I witnessed how all the people on the list as preferred guests to an event did not show up, they all had other engagements. Yet the few who were not on the preferred list that came were sincerely happy and appreciated the invitation.

Likewise all those invited to the feast had excuses, other priorities, they did not need what was to be given. This is why we do our best to walk prepared to give of what understanding we are gaining and LET God bring those who need it most (the poor in spirit) into our experience to benefit from the sharing.

Those we think the least receptive may be most ready to receive.
