The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

Thank you Lynda! I love the Daily Prayer’s promise of “the reign of divine Truth, Life, and Love.” I was recently speaking with a friend about the Daily Prayer and she often makes a small substitute in words that helps her when applying it uniquely to her day. “Thy kingdom come, let the reign of divine Truth, Life, and Love be established in me and rule out of me all sin (rule out of me all fear); and may Thy Word enrich the affections of all mankind, and govern them.” This small application can have other substitutes as well: and rule out of me all negativity, and rule out of me all judgment, doubt, or lack. The list is endless with possibilities. I have been enjoying a different word each day, allowing me to see fresh perspectives on a prayer that I just used to give “lip service” to. I find it is being more applicable to my life each day.

Thank you for all the fresh perspectives I enjoy in the Plainfield services and classes through YouTube. They are priceless.

    Debra,
I am showing my newness again. I tried to do a search through the Plainfield Science and Health link and couldn’t figure it out. Anyway you could give me brief directions? Thanks, Linda

Joanne, I have also spent years absent from my duties to God. I was mesmerized into believing that my existence was wrapped up in my little immediate material family. I allowed the responsibilities of home life to monopolize my thinking. I am grateful to have found Plainfield because their resources not only woke me up, but have given me so many different ways to incorporate Bible and CS study into my daily routines. I listen to the weekly lesson, rooundtable discussions, or Bible Studies every morning. Since I am a newcomer, there are so many to still catch up with. But mostly, I have recognized that God never stopped loving for me during that time and didn’t stop providing for me either. He loves me the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow bc NOW is all there is. His omnipresence has always included us! I am just grateful that I am seeing that again! 🙂

Thank you Debra. I am new to Plainfield and I didn’t realize that was a feature on the digital Science and Health. I love the word choice you used as an example too. I’ll give it a try. Thanks for sharing for those of us that are new. 🙂 Linda

This Psalm is written with such empathy/understanding of the human mind, yet it is showing us the way to be delivered from it. “I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.” I see this as placing God in front of us with everything we do and He will show us what we need to know to progress. We do not have to know everything that MBE wrote in order to be worthy. We are worthy because he loves us and we want to know him better. As Jeremy say, “Alright, you got knocked around, but there is still work for you to do!” Dust off and He will meet us where we are and lead the way to understanding and knowing that spiritual sense destroys the material! So grateful to be a new member of Plainfield!
