The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

What an inspiring, heartfelt post! It would make a great testimony to give on Wednesday night. I am sure there may be other’s out there searching, as you were, for the Truth. This may be just the encouragement they need. Thank you for it Jeremy…beautiful and touching.

Thank You Gary! What an inspiration! I am writing my own thoughts on “What My Father Sees,” and does NOT see, or do.
What a thorough treatment to use daily!

Thank you for your post Sharon!. I found it helpful to me.

In studying the Lesson this morning, I came upon these verses. I believe they co-inside with your important post. (Colossians 3), “Cast your Mind on things above; not on things of the earth.” And in (Romans 8), “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be Spiritually minded is life and peace.” Also, in Proverbs I read the following, “Through Wisdom is a house builded: And by understanding it is established. (But) by Knowledge shall all the chamber’s be filled with life and peace.”

We need to “walk with God”, as Jesus and the prophet’s of the Bible did. We need to, “Pray without ceasing.” It is only in this way can we be assured of our safety. We are all striving here in Plainfield Christian Science to “build our houses upon a rock”… to cast away the false pictures parading before us, and keep our minds stayed on the One God.

Thanks Lil. I just want to say, many times, if one’s mind isn’t peaceful and still, the body might react likewise. This can take numerous forms…twitching, wiggling, coughing, various nervous physical, behaviors. Take it from “one who knows”: “Been there, Done that!”

Thank You for your post Bruce, it is very helpful to me. I never thought of “obsessive thinking” as a graven image or being “engraved in one’s mind. Now I recognize it as putting something else before the One God, dangerous and sinful! Thank you again.
