The Bulletin Board is for gratitude for Christian Science and the Church, as well as timely excerpts from the Bible, the works of Mrs. Eddy, and the early workers that help and encourage. We are very grateful for all posts that conform to these guidelines, but will edit or remove anything that the Practitioners feel is not in complete accord with pure Christian Science or in any way disrespectful of it.

We also ask that you keep your postings as concise as possible. If you quote the Bible, please use The King James Version, as this is what Mrs. Eddy used. Thank you!

    Thank you!… reminds me of Mrs. Eddy’s counsel S&H p.394, “It is well to be calm in sickness; to be hopeful is still better; but to understand that sickness is not real and that Truth can destroy its seeming reality, is best of all, for this understanding is the universal and perfect remedy.

    I appreciate this post very much, especially upon returning from a “vacation” the root word of which is:
    vac- empty, evacuate, vacancy, vacant, vacate, vacuous, vacuum. freedom, exemption, a being free from duty.

    Yes, I also resonated with this citation “He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.” Proverbs 15 : 32. I’ve been thinking about it and your added comments and references are very helpful. Thank you!

    Yes, thank you for this post and also for the Roundtable discussion which included reference to Mrs. Eddy’s instructions on the “Watch” page. This favorite quote from Science and Health, page 135:9: “Spiritual evolution alone is worthy of the exercise of divine power.” has helped me enormously in times when I think I know what’s best rather than what God, in His infinite wisdom, knows.
